When generators run underloaded – typically below 30–40% capacity – performance deteriorates and engine glazing becomes a risk. The X100 provides a precise artificial load to maintain healthy generator operation, enabling safer commissioning and more consistent post-maintenance testing.
Standard X100 Load Bank
The X100 is Fortress Systems’ most compact and portable low-voltage load bank. Housed in a rugged hard-shell case, it delivers 100kW of resistive load with 2kW step resolution. Designed for mobile operators and field teams, it supports rapid deployment and simple manual control, making it ideal for UPS validation, generator testing, or battery discharge scenarios.
X100 Options
The X100 can be supplied with or without Fortress’ Multi Unit Remote Controller (MURC) integration. Multiple units can be networked to simulate larger load conditions or coordinate field-wide test programs.

Yes. All Fortress portable load banks are MURC-compatible and can be networked with up to 200 units using a single controller.
We supply standard 5m, 10m, and 15m cable/connector sets. Custom lengths are available on request.
The X100 operates in 2kW load steps as standard.
X100 units are designed in the USA and manufactured by our Telema Group facility in China. US-manufactured supply is available if required.
